San Juan Capistrano Wedding Film

I adore watching wedding videos. But to be able to watch your video, on your actual wedding day, makes my sentimental heart skip a beat. Amari Productions captured the beautiful wedding of this adorable couple and shared it with everyone there for a same day premiere! Imagine watching and realizing the fun gets to continue right where the film leaves off; I can’t think of a better happy ending.

From Amari Productions… They couldn’t stop smiling. As soon as Caryn & Zane saw each other they lit up with these big, beautiful, genuine, joyful smiles. They were the kind of smiles that you could see, and knowing nothing else about the couple, know they were madly in love. They were the best kind of smiles, and they never left for the rest of the day.

To cap off this wonderful wedding, we had the honor of showing a Same Day Premiere. If you’ve never heard of a Same Day Premiere, it is exactly as its name implies. We edit and show your wedding film AT YOUR WEDDING. How? Well, think of a top hat. Now, imagine a magician (complete with coattails and a curly mustache if you will) pulling a rabbit out of said hat. Got that? Ok, replace the rabbit in that scenario with a wedding film and that’s pretty much how it happens.

Same Day Premieres are one of our favorite types of wedding films. Everyone is right when they say your wedding day is going to fly by. So we love being able to sit you down with all of your family and friends surrounding you so that you can see what the heck just happened! (Spoiler alert: YOU GOT MARRIED!) Then (and this is the ultimate kicker), after the film ends and you’re thinking to yourself, “Wow, this really has been the BEST DAY of my life”, the lights come back on and you realize: YOU’RE STILL THERE! Your parents, your bridal party, your best man and maid of honor, everyone that matters to you most is still there, ready to make more memories together.

Cozy Engagement Session with Saffron Avenue

A savored morning complete with breakfast in bed and sweet kisses – I am absolutely smitten with our SMP blogger bride Saffron Avenue and her e-sesh captured by Jenna Leigh. Not to mention the autumn picnic fueled with wine and cheese that followed. One glimpse of the cozy gallery and you will be longing for a Sunday morning with your special someone, I guarantee it.

From Saffron Avenue… Surprisingly enough my fiance and I were actually not going to get any engagement photos taken. We both are very camera shy and also did not have it in our wedding budget. After collaborating with Jenna Leigh on a couple past blogger bride shoots (and becoming friends) I realized that it is worth every penny and could be a lot of fun.

After setting a date, I had to come up with a unique idea for our little shoot. I thought about having it at a tennis court (where we fell in love), dressing up to the nines and creating a sultry mid-century shoot, or just keeping it simple.

That’s when I realized that we should keep it personal and really capture who we are. Since I still wanted it to be unique I thought a lifestyle shoot would be perfect for us. We both work from home and are such homebodies that we started the shoot at home, in our bedroom, drinking coffee and eating pastries.

After finishing our coffee we got dressed up and had a cozy little picnic in the park, which included a bit of wine and cheese! I don’t think we could have picked a perfect Fall day in Wisconsin, the sun was shining, the weather was perfect, and the leaves were falling.

We couldn’t thank Jenna enough for capturing who we are perfectly. Cheers to the final 6 months of planning and enjoying every last bit of it!

From Jenny Haas PhotographyMy name is Jenny Haas and I am a Dayton Ohio wedding photographer. I recently shot a beautiful wedding at the Dayton Art Museum with a lot of glitz and glamour so I wanted to share! Heather and Loftur met in college in the states, but since Loftur is from Iceland they lived there for a while. A lot of the guest were from there and it was fun to see two different cultures and traditions come together in one place, and to celebrate one couple :)

Some of my favorite details of the day were the florals, Heather designed them herself [crazy and ambitious!] she did an amazing job! I loved the pops of color and they accented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly. I also thought it was unique that some of the girls wore black gowns and some of them work mismatched pastel gowns. Heather’s gown was simple and elegant.

The tables at the reception were covered with gold table clothes and decorated with blacks and golds. Heather and Loftur made CDS for favors with their favorite songs, and Heather arranged all of the flowers. The Art Institute was the perfect backdrop for all of the details!
